The Saints of Swag is a Collective of Musicians, Vocalists, Songwriters, Film Makers, Actors, Visual Artists, Creatives and Visionaries. Saints of Swag is a diverse and inclusive community of all ethnicities, nationalities, political and religious backgrounds and belief systems: gay, straight, non binary and LGBTQ friendly. Our focus is to create visual art and music which speaks Truth to power and is social justice and human rights focused.
Saints of Swag is what happens when a democracy gets blackout drunk and wakes up without its wallet. A loud, unlicensed operation wired into the panic in the boardrooms. We play to the rhythm of documents being shredded and whistleblowers getting marched out by security. This collective is witness protection for the truth. We drag it in at 3 a.m., bruised and paranoid, and shove a microphone in its hand. Politicians pump out lies like slot machines spitting coins. Corporate news tucks us in with fairy tales while fires burn just off-camera. We kick open the fire door and broadcast the blaze. We deal in one currency: volume. Hard rock for the fully awake. For the ones who know the circus is not supposed to run the country. For anyone done with gaslight as a national pastime. Plug in. Strap down. If someone tells you to turn it down, they have something to hide.
